Dr Nuruddeen Abba Abdullahi is the Chief Executive Officer of
ANAN. He serves as a Technical Advisor on the Board of Pan African
Federation of Accountants (PAFA) and the Secretary of Board of
Trustees of ANAN University.
Before becoming the ANAN CEO in April 2018, he was a Senior
Research Fellow at Dangote Business School, Bayero University Kano,
Nigeria. He gained over 35 years experiences spanning development
finance, mortgage banking, government, and the academia, having
held several management and executive positions, including Managing
Director at Dala Building Society Plc and Member at Kano State
Technical Committee on Privatization. He also served on Council of
ANAN and The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE); and Boards in the
insurance, hotel and manufacturing sectors.
Dr Abdullahi has been a Fellow of ANAN (FCNA) since 2005 and was
a member of ANAN governing Council from 2012 to 2014; where he had
served in various committees, including Chair of Establishment
Committee and Mandatory Continuing Development Committee. He is
also a Trustee of Abba Abdullahi Foundation. He is a registered
professional with the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of
Nigeria.
He was a British Commonwealth Scholar for doctorate degree in
Finance at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom between
1990 and 1993, and also gained MA in Finance and Investment from
the same university and BSc in Accounting from Bayero University
Kano. He attended various national and international conferences,
and has many publications in professional and peer-reviewed
academic journals.
Dr Abdullahi is a Member of the National Institute for Policy
and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and The Academy of Management Nigeria
(TAMN), and a Fellow of ANAN, CITN and NIM.
